The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Precourse Self-Assessments are online tools that evaluate a student’s knowledge before the course to determine his or her proficiency and identify any need for additional review and practice.
AHA requires that you must complete the applicable Self-Assessment with a score of at least 70% prior to attending your ACLS or PALS course.
To start, please click the link above to launch the Self-Assessment (ACLS shown here). Click “Launch This Course.”
Log into your existing AHA account or click “Create an account” to set up a new account.
On the course landing page, click “Start” to begin the Self-Assessment.
Once you have completed the Self-Assessment, your results display. Click “Print” to save as a PDF.
Click “Exit Exercise” to return to the course landing page. Then, click “Certificate” to download the Precourse Self-Assessment certificate.
