This class covers how to correctly apply, wear, use and dispose of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and prevent the spread of bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases. Students will pratice handwashing techniques, how to properly apply and remove gloves, and proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques. You will have hands-on practice with administering and documenting several medications. This class is the State of Wisconsin DHS 83.20-required Medication Administration training (approved by the Wisconsin Division of Quality Assurance, Bureau of Assisted Living).
