American Heart Association® (AHA) eCard Information

All certification cards for AHA classes are now electronic cards, or eCards. Nothing is mailed.

• Within five (5) business days of successfully completing all requirements for your class or skills session, your eCard is emailed to the email address that you provide when signing into your class.
• We recommend using a personal email address. You have a higher likelihood of receiving your eCard email to a personal email address.

If You DO NOT Receive Your eCard:

1. Please check your SPAM or TRASH in your email to make sure that the eCard did not filter to one of these folders. This is the most likely cause.
2. Contact us to verify that your email was spelled correctly.
3. You may be asked to provide a different email to receive your eCard.

To Retrieve Your eCard:

1. You will receive an email from [email protected]. The title of this email will be “Your AHA eCard”.
2. Click the button in the email to launch the AHA® eCard website.
3. Confirm your contact information.
4. Create a security question and answer.
5. Complete survey questions. 
6. Your eCard will be displayed for you to save, email, or print.

You will have access to your eCard via the link provided for the entire two years you are certified.

If you have Already Retrieved Your eCard:

• You can click the link in the email from [email protected] with subject "Your AHA eCard" anytime to take you directly to your card. 
• You can also go to heart.org/cpr/mycards to search for your eCard with your name and email address.

View your active and expired eCard(s) anytime. The "Student" is the person who the eCard was issued to. Your first and last names and email address that you enter in the "eCard Search" must match the name and email that your eCard was assigned to by the TC: 

• Example 1: Your first name is Jennifer but your eCard was issued to Jen.
• Example 2: If you have a hyphenated last name, that name must exactly match where the eCard was sent.
• Example 3: Most of us have multiple email addresses. The email must match the email that your eCard was sent to.

On the "Security Question" page, provide the case-sensitive answer to your Question.

• If you don't know the case-sensitive answer to the security question, click "Forgot Security Answer?" above the "Submit" button to have the answer emailed to you. 
• If you no longer have access to that email address, contact us to have your eCard sent to another email address

Once you reach the "Hello, [Name]" page, you will see "My eCards" with your active eCards.

• If there is an eCard with the label "Unclaimed," click "CLAIM" and follow the instructions.
• If there is nothing showing, click "All" next to "VIEW." Any Inactive eCards will also show.
• If there is still nothing showing, your eCard was issued to another email.

• All certification cards for Red Cross classes are now Digital Certifications. Nothing is mailed.
• Personal email addresses have fewer filters so you have a higher likelihood of receiving your Digital Certification.
• Within five (5) business days, your Digital Certification is sent to the email address that you provide when signing into your class.

If you do not receive your Digital Certification:

1. Please check your SPAM or TRASH in your email to make sure that the Digital Certification did not filter to one of these folders. This is the most likely cause.
2. Contact us to verify that your email was spelled correctly.
3. You may be asked to provide a different email to receive your Digital Certification.

To Retrieve Your Digital Certification

1. You will receive an email from  [email protected]. The title of this email will be  "Completion Certificates for Your Red Cross Training."
2. Your Digital Certification will be displayed for you to save, email, or print.

You will have access to your Digital Certification via the link provided for the entire two years you are certified.

If you have Already Retrieved Your Digital Certification:

• You can find your Digital Certification in email anytime.
• You can also go to redcross.org/take-a-class/digital-certificate to search for your Digital Certification with your email address, name and class date, or Certificate ID.
